Air travel and us... 8/18
After vino we vlogged and got ready to board the plane.
Apparently you do not have to wait until your row is called to que up for the plane. We missed that somehow and ended up near the end of the line, patiently waiting.
Alli's reflection,"when boarding a plane..... Slip into a line if you see it opening..."
Kait's reflection,"that's called line jumping allison."
There was plenty of room on board! Kait could have fit her pack and then some! Oh well... Our seats were 34a&c.
When traveling, if you specify a food allergy, your food will come before everyone else. they call you special. And your meals are healthier then everyone else's.
Example:
For dinner Alli received-pasta with sauce, pasta salad, a roll with butter, and cheddar cheese, and a brownie.
Where as Kait received-baked salmon with fresh veggies, cooked veggies, potatoes, and fruit, with a side of rice cake.
Kait's Addendum- although you are special, receive early foodage, and healthier options.... Your meal may not be entirely allergen free. I do believe my breakfast was in a whole wheat wrap... And there was modified corn starch in my yogurt. yet my breakfast still looked more appetizing then Alli's soft roll, hard granola bar ,with fruit cup.
Alli's reflection: "I think I am just disappointed I didn't get to see the aurora borealis.... Or a green monster"
Kait's reflection:"hives suck just as much in the air as they do on the ground. I still feel like a monster."
Lastly.... And most importantly....where is the water???
Alli's reflection, " when ordering drinks order 2 cups at a time. And try for 4 if you think you can get away from it"
Kait's reflection," then why didn't you have me ask for you?"
We have downed at least 8 shots of water each on this flight and still feel dried out and thirsty! We have learned our lesson and shall not be traveling without water again, hopefully.
We still give lufthansa an A for good service and a smooth ride!
