Excited and buzzed

Perhaps more of the latter...

Kait and I are finishing up a bottle of Tempranillo,Santana 09 at Vino Volo at the Philadelphia International Airport. No philly cheesesteak for us... we went for Italian delicacies... smoked salmon, prosciutto, goat cheese, fig jam... the list goes on. I went for the Smoke Salmon rolls and Brie and Prosciutto Sandwich, while Kait opted for the Artisan Cured meats and Artisan Cheese plate. All the while feeding me everything on it.

The wine was much needed after check-in. Kaitlin broke out in hives after she had to check a bag, thankfully she packed a small blue piece of luggage in her bag. While she was busy tranferring items from one bag to another on the floor of the airport, I was enthusiastically trying to fit my bag into the metal cage of baggage fate. With substantial force, stern will-power, and an audience I shoved it in and was permitted to bring it along... It is quite possible that I was videod in my attempt. So after some sad puppy Kaitlin eyes (maybe one crocadile tear) and a test of Alli's will we now sit here, drunk after a whole bottle, ready and willing to depart for Madrid.

Palm reading on the bus

We have been amusing ourselves on the mega bus with trying to read our own palms. The very useful website we were using is this: http://healing.about.com/od/palmlines/ig/Palm-Lines/

We are not determined to get our palms and fortunes read while in Europe.

What we have discovered thus far... By our own expertise

Alli: "I discovered I am logical and have absolutely no intuition. My life line could use some help. I have a forking headline and a chaining heart line"

Kait: "I have discovered I have a very very long life line, it goes all the way around my thumb. Alli thinks I have an eternity love ring around my pinky finger. My heart line is all sorts of forked! And headline is as well. My fate line seems to branch in 2 directions... But I have no clue what this all means"

Oooooo I know. Your ear senses motion, but if you are not looking out the window your eyes do not register movement and the conflicting signals in the brain cause motion sickness. -Alli :D

Now a little science lesson from Alli

Ever wonder why planes fly?

The wing of a plane is flat on the bottom and curved on top. Air particles are forced to go above or below the plane's wing. Although the distance to go over the plane's wing is longer than the distance to go under the plane's wing the particles reach the back of the plane wing at the same time. Therefore the particles travel above the plane wing are moving faster. With increased speed comes decreased pressure. Lower pressure on top of the wing and higher pressure beneath the wing causes the plane to lift. Voila.
